Thanks To All

An enchanting evening was had by all who attended the La Vita Della Donna recital on March 3, 2007. Accompanied by Jason Smith, Laura Mercado and Tawney Seward delivered an unforgettable presentation of the lives of women, past and present, depicted through composers and writers of famous opera and Broadway productions. They showcased classics such as Mozart's Così fan tutte and Puccini's Madama Butterfly along with an array of lullabies (A Charm of Lullabies, Op.41, Benjamin Britten) and an endearing look at third graders' responses captured in, "I wish I Were," by Charles Strauss. Arnold Weinstein's lighthearted Cabaret Songs attributed to the fun, as well. Patrons enjoyed a lovely reception during the intermission.

Many, many thanks to the underwriters who supported this endeavor, and those who donated their time and efforts to make this event happen, especially Lisa Diane, Meredith, Jerry, Mona, and certainly the performers, Laura, Tawny, and Jason. We can hardly wait to see what they come up with next year!
